Through the International Civil Service (SCI) Italy, which founded it, La Città dell’Utopia hosts various international activities.
There are training programs for volunteers from Italy heading all over the world: training programs for international volunteering, especially for those heading to what is commonly referred to as the “South” and for those preparing to coordinate a volunteer camp in Italy, where non-formal education methods are used to address topics such as global citizenship education, stereotypes, ethical communication, nonviolence, etc.
There are also ESC camps (ESC Teams), which bring together a group of international volunteers and a group of locals to support the festivals (Soup Festival, the NoBorder Fest and ReNoize) as well as the upkeep of the venue and its wonderful garden.
There are youth exchanges (Youth Exchanges), which involve young people from different countries on the topic of social inclusion, as well as training sessions and seminars for the exchange of best practices and capacity building for professionals in the social and youth sectors.
