The OrtoTerapia Group’s journey has evolved and grown stronger thanks to the project C.C.C. – Cultivating Community and Knowledge. School of Self-Production of Utopia (website link) , created with the support of the “Otto per Mille” funds from the UCEBI (Christian Evangelical Baptist Union of Italy).
The project was launched with the goal of promoting self-production, sustainability, and the sharing of knowledge through an “learning by doing” approach. At its core is the creation of a School of Self-Production, an open educational space where theory and practice come together.
The activities are divided into two main areas: on the one hand, the garden group, which continuously tends to the green space and manages agricultural production; on the other hand, a series of workshops open to the public, focused on food processing and preservation, sustainable cooking, natural cosmetics, and traditional medicine.

The project involves local residents, students, and people in vulnerable situations, promoting social inclusion and participation. The garden thus becomes a true testing ground for learning practical skills, developing environmental awareness, and building relationships.
Through the School of Self-Production, we promote a more sustainable way of life that reduces waste, makes the most of local resources, and strengthens the bond between the community and the local area. In this process, the City of Utopia reaffirms its role as a generative space, where initiatives such as the OrtoTerapia Group can flourish and give rise to new initiatives, such as the City of Self-Production.
