Solidarity Purchasing Groups (GAS) arose from the need for critical, fair, and socially responsible consumption. They are made up of a group of people who decide to come together to organize their purchases, giving priority to local products from short supply chains and to producers who guarantee not only quality but also dignified working conditions within their businesses. The San Paolo GAS was founded in 2006 and brings together neighborhood residents and others who want to contribute, through their shopping, to a more just and environmentally friendly way of living. Together, we purchase a wide variety of products, ranging from fruits and vegetables to household cleaning supplies, always striving to get to know the producers and selecting projects based on their sustainability.
